Targeting Trails To Truth

Exercise is one of the things that we never say “I wish I hadn’t done that ” after we are finished. It is one of the things that makes us feel good when finished , but for most of us, takes effort to even start. Exercise is what our ancestors did all day just to survive. Its how we move through life. It’s a mandatory part of being healthy.
The physiological changes in the body related to regular exercise include reducing the likelihood of coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, obesity and other chronic diseases. It helps to control stress, increases self esteem and contributes to activating those “feel good” hormones.
Adults are advised to work out 150 minutes a week at moderate-intensity or 75 minutes a week of vigorous intensity. It’s totally doable in chunks. If that isn’t a goal you think you can do, it’s good to start slow and easy but be consistent. Slowly but surely, you will see yourself getting stronger and it is such a great feeling. 30 minutes a day of physical activity provides substantial health benefits. Only 30 minutes makes a difference!!!!! Just take that first step every day and see where you go.
There are three areas that help your body: aerobic, muscular strength and flexibility. They are all important for different reasons which most of us are familiar with. As you age, you lose the fitness some of all three as the decades go by but if you use your body, it responds in kind and helps stave off the decline.
If you find yourself never having time for exercise, ask yourself how you can change that. It should be as if not more important than taking a shower or brushing your teeth. It should be more important than watching your favorite program. It should be non negotiable because it is essential for anyone who wants to be well.
There is such a thing of over exercising and that can lead to damaged joints, injury’s and hurt muscles. Checking with a professional is a good idea. Our country has much more trouble under than over exercising. Exercising alone doesn’t help you lose weight and diet is important but it helps your body in all most every way. It’s never too late to start.
